Conductive PLA is a resistor for LEDs and interacts with touch capacitive devices plus supports ESD applications. Enjoy reliable conductivity, printability, and availability. Because conductive materials are added, the physical properties of the material itself will be reduced and become more brittle. Therefore, the difficulty of producing conductive wires depends on how to balance the toughness and conductivity of the material and find a balance.
- Conductive PLA is a low-cost way of powering low voltage (0 to 60 V) electronic devices while also maintaining some of the mechanical strength of PLA.
- The additives do, however, negatively affect the mechanical properties of the PLA to some degree.
- Printing with conductive PLA requires no special processes. The same settings that are used for standard PLA can be used for conductive PLA.
- The standard resistivity of 10 cm of conductive TPU and conductive PLA1.75mm is 100-200 kilo-ohms when leaving the factory! The gear used during the test is 200 kilo-ohms!

What factors affect the conductivity of 3D printed models?
Due to the function of the conductive powder in the filament, YOUSU Conductive 3D FILAMENT can have conductive effects. The conductive powder rate will not be more than 25% because it will reduce the physical properties of the filament. If the powder rate get higher, what’s more the filament will become brittle which is not fit for printing and may have crack issue during shipment. And the filament electric resistance is not the electric resistance of the printed models.
